Not neccesarily a 74-9-3 monster, but a guy who is an established pro.

What fighter with lest than 15 pro outings most impressed you?

Who will be the first to mention Nelson vs Sanchez...that is the question. :hey

I thought Spinks had a tough assignment ahead of him in facing Lopez in only his 14th professional outting. stopped him much easier than Saad did. Would go on to decimate Johnson, a former champion who went life and death with Saad twice, in only his 16th professional fight.

The other Spinks vs. Muhammad Ali. Not that deteriorated version of Ali was that great, but Leon had no business winning that fight at 6-0-1. And he did it in an exciting manner, where he took the title from the champion

Surely it's Holyfield vs Qawi I? I'd say that impressed me even more than Nelson's showing against Sanchez, considering Evander won the fight.

Yeah, that's probably number one. But doing what Spinks did to Johnson in his 16th fight, and then dethroning Mustafa Muhammad in his next outting to win the WBA strap has to be up there too. It was a damn tough division, but Michael had already become the man in only his 17th fight. Brilliant stuff.

I much prefer Sanchez - Nelson. Sanchez is a greater fighter than Qawi and was at a stronger career stage. Holyfield was far more acclaimed and accredited than Nelson.

What more need be said. It was incredible.

Witherspoon - Holmes wasn't half bad either. Witherspoon had just struggled vs Snipes, had bugger all fights and was a very heavy underdog.
