Aside from the ones listed, the only thing that I could think of right now is more recently Kessler-Andrade.

 

Toney vs. Peter 1 & 2..... Toney gets dropped in the rematch, but gets up to finish on his feet..... James Toney took some serious leather from Sammy Peter in 2006 & '07.... No other former Middleweight champion ever withstood that type of power from a power-punching heavyweight for 24 rds.....

As much as I love Jake LaMotta, no way in hell could LaMotta handle Peter's power in a time machine.... NO WAY!!

There's so many, probably Brewster/Liakhovich, Brewster ate everything Liakhovich had to offer, the guy amazes me, you will see the guys legs go to complete jelly in fights, yet he almost always finds a way to stay on his feet, in this match it was no different.

 

Brewster, like Mugabi against Hagler in '86, was ruined by Sergei Liakhovich in 2006... In fact, Sergei Liakhovich is not the same anymore, also..... I doubt that Lamon Brewster will ever rise back to the top of the WBO mountain.... Brewster has taken too many shots, and appears faded like a pair of Blue Jeans.... Cheers....:rasta

Hector Camacho in his losses to Chavez,Trinidad, and De La Hoya. Went the distance with all of them and took a lot of punishment in all three fights.

 

I agree, though you got to look at the mans entire career. Starting with his fight against Eitenne in 2000, where he took bombs and still found a way to stay on his feet, thats then fast forward to his first fight with Wlad in April of 04, he took monsters punches and was floored early, but fought on to win the WBO title, then he faced Keli Meehan, a journymen who was more than game in his fight with Brewster, rocking him severely during the mid rounds, but Brewster found a way to comeback towards the end to get the close victory. He then blew out Golota in the 1st round, and followed that up by fighting Krasniqi, where he took a beating through 8 and somehow found a way to land his signature hook, and ended up getting the TKO the next round.

Brewster's whole career was did nothing but damage to his body, he was a come forward type fighter, who commonly lead with his head, he chose to slug when the opertunity presented itself. He was hardly a good boxer, but he was one hell of a fighter.

 

Mercer showed a damned good chin in the Morrison fight. Hell, in his prime Mercer showed a good chin in all of his fights.
