Which division is the best in boxing at the moment?

I'm gonna plug for Super Bantamweight:

    1 - Israel Vasquez (elite)
    2 - Rafael Marquez (elite)
3 - Celestino Caballero (world class)
4 - Juan Manuel Lopez (world class and future elite:think)
5 - Jhonny Gonzalez (world class)
    6 - Toshiaki Nishioka
    7 - Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym
8 - Daniel Ponce De Leon
9 - Ricardo Cordoba (world class)
    10 - Steve Molitor

Other names we will recognise: Bernard Dunne, Rendal Munroe and Kiko Martinez.

What I love about this division is that all the top guys are fighting each other:

Vasquez has won two out of three against Marquez.
Caballero has beaten both Ponce De Leon and Molitor.
Corduba has beaten Caballero (albeit at a lower weight).
    Vasquez has beaten Gonzalez.
Lopez has beaten Ponce De Leon.

In this division the top two guys are ranked 5th and 7th respectively P-4-P according to Ring magazine, while Caballero and Lopez can't be far off that particular top 10 list.

So, SBW is the best at the moment IMO, with Lightweight and Welterweight coming in behind.

    Agree or Disagree?

    SMW, LW, SBW are great.

BW is shaping up: you can add Mijares, Montiel and Darchinyan to Hasegawa, Penalosa, Agbeko, Moreno.

LWW is an underrated one: Hatton, Pacquiao, Holt, Bradley, Korelnik, Urango, Torres, Maidana and Ortiz shortly in the elite.

WW is a bit on the decline with Cintron, Williams moving up, Oscar, Pacquiao, Margarito out.

Or the fact that 122 and 135 are also very hot divisions... Hell, even 168, 140 or 200 could have a case made for having some great fights to be made.

Personally, I think 122 is where it's at right now, especially if Dachinyan can move up and make a splash, but 135 and 147 are tied for a strong second.

Welterweight and Lightweight have a lot of talent too.

WW-Mosley-Cotto-Cintron-Berto-Clottey-Margarito(suspended)-Pacman(part time)-Judah-Collazo-Quintana-Williams(when someone finally have the balls to face him he will come back down)

    Lightweight- Marquez-casamayor-Juan Diaz-Julio Diaz-d.Diaz-campbell-J.guzman-valero-Pacman-Khan etc

i gotta go with the welterweight division. They have too much talent. Super Bantamweight have 2 elite and the others are ???? caballero is solid but he hasnt face vazquez or marquez yet. Lopez same thing.

Hopefully Paul McCloskey can make an impact in the LWW ranks. I don't see why not.

Welter is declining if you ask me. Your boy Paul has moved up, Marg is caught up, Mosley is getting old (although he looked very impressive) Cintron moved up, Clottey has not done anything and last but not least, Cotto on a comeback.

Still a very good division but it's slowly declining

    Welterweight?

Cotto is coming off a loss, Mosley is an aging top dog who lost to Cotto, Margarito's career is in god knows where, Williams is fighting in every other division, Clottey is sitting around wondering wtf his promise is, Zab Judah is testing waters at 140 and so is Pac. DLH is really a JMW at this point. Nobody is fighting anybody in this division at this point.

140 and 168 are hotter right now IMO.

I didn't include Penalosa because I would regard him, as of this moment, as still a Bantamweight; even though he is scheduled to fight Lopez, the fight hasn't taken place yet and there is a good chance that Penalosa will drop back down to BW after the fight.
