Unlike Cazares, I feel Gonzalez will make LFW (only 3 lbs north) with ease and will carry his power up.

A couple of months ago I would've said Iron Boy schools him badly, but after re-watching his battering of a very, very good fighter in Niida (and indeed in Niida's hometown) I think Calderon, with his zero power, will find it hard to keep Gonzalez off of him. Cazares is awkward and rangy, but I think Gonzalez will be the harder proposition, his relentless attacking style will catch up to Calderon late IMO.

I'm a huge Calderon fan but I'm going out on a limb here; if Gonzalez beats another top-ranked SW and moves up to LFW, I think he could beat Calderon. It's a 50-50 fight, whereas a couple of months ago I would've said it was 80-20 in favour of Calderon.

A fight between Gonzalez and Solis would no doubt be a contender for FOTY, if only it would be a headline fight! Vasquez and Marquez proved the little guys can capture the imagination to an extent, surely these guys deserve some exposure!!!

Botht he lightweight and the welterweight classes have taken a bit of a beating with the story of Margos alleged cheating and campbell losing his unified belts on the scales.

Super bantam is very strong, but I think 135 still takes it.

As for future division, I say 168, some good young talent there and if Kelly Pavlik and Arthur Abraham move up which I expect the, to do at some stage, we will then have the best division in boxing.

I can't fault Gonzalez so far.

Looks like he has speed, power, stamina to burn, a great chin etc.

Lets hope he makes some noise in the years to come:good

122 and 147 are miles away from other division..
it's just sad that 135 fighters are eliminating themselves in the weighing scales

The welterweights have it all. Cotto coming back, Margarito having to prove himself also. Cintron? Shane and Pacman the superstars. Hatton maybe moving up if he beats Pacman. Mayweather waiting for everyone. Great division.

I would go along with Super Bantam weight at the moment. I think in 6 months time it could well be light welterweight. Hatton - Pacquiao - Bradley - Torres - Holt - Urango - Kotelnik - Malignaggi already there. Nate Campbell is said to be moving up and I wouldn't be suprised to see Marquez in there chasing Pacquiao. Might be an idea for Guzman as well, at least he might be able to make weight.

    122. So much talent there right now it's just wrong.
