Fair play jeff, can't ask for any more than that, I Hope you don't mind me asking but you're still relatively young in a boxing sense and you have a winning record, will you give it another go, or are the gloves hung up for good?

I've got horrible asthma mate, i've tried to 'come bck' twice and just couldn't do it anymore. I just cannot improve my fitness no matter how hard I train. I still spar and stuff, and I can hold my own with very good fighters in sparring but I did an exhbition type bout near xmas. Put it all over the lad in the first round. Couldn't throw anything effective after that. I've just completed my professional trainers course with the BBBC and I assist Kevin Maree with Mike Gomez, i'm also in the process of completing a fitness instructors course so i've moved away from the competition side of the sport now. Thanks for asking mate.

A wee note for those mentioning Benn and Eubank fights: they haven't fought anyone in the last decade.:deal

I've always wondered how a boxer copes with Asthma as I am a sufferer and can only train in hard short bursts.(At my leisure..)

I imagine a long hard fight almost kills you Jeff, did you have to modify your training compared to others in your Gym?

My stamina/pace levels have always been rubbish, so although fairly strong for my size I could never really compete at most sports.
I can always have a go on the heavy bag and speed ball though.:rasta(Shannon Briggs is asthmatic isn't he)

Anyway it sounds like your making some good moves, so good luck to you Jeff.
