Ali , Frazier, Pedroza, Pryor, Mancini, Lamotta, Marciano, Hagler, Prime Holyfield ( at Lt.Heavy/Cruiser early fights at Heavy) Sanchez, Chavez,( though I don't think he fought a 15 rd fight) Armstrong , Arguello, prime Duran at lightweight, and welter. All of them could bring it hard for 15rds. Also Leonard and Benitez.

Hi peeps, I reckon the best stick n move fighters arent getting quite enough love on this one. It takes a really big motor to stick n move for 10 let alone 15 rounds. If you put a pedometer on someone like Willie Pep in his prime he would have done an incredible amount of work over a full 15 round fight.

Guys like Pep, Gavilan, Ernesto Marcel or even a dirty boxer- stick n mover like Pedroza had gigantic motors. Its easier to fight rounds in a relaxed stalker style like Louis n Arguello than to swarm or fight on the bike as its a more conservative, energy saving style. Prime Holmes and Ali both had massive engines. Even fighters like Howard Winstone and Johnny Famechon were exceptionally fit.

As far as swarmers go Greb and Hammering Hank are legendary but blokes like Saldivar, Jeff Fenech, JC Chavez and the young, prime Roberto Duran were also exceptional. Margarito was a machine, the bloke never stopped coming forward n throwing punches. Calzaghe had a great motor and of course Marciano and Frazier have to get a gong.

Nobody has mentioned Sugar Ray Leonard or Sugar Ray Robinson yet ( I may have missed them though ). I was always super impressed with the stamina both those fighters showed.

The welterweight version of Felix Trinidad always showed great stamina too. Tito used to do a lotta roadwork.

    Cheers All.

Troy Dorsey. Not an atg by any means but in terms of pure heart and engine and output he was incredibly fit. Boxed at featherweight about 30 years ago. Think he was from Texas. Great fights with kevin kelly McCullough and Barry McGuigan were super fit too.
