YES! Zero action in round one. Fight ended in the third. Stewart was down three times, Sellers down four.

I doubt anyone here has seen this fight, but Soo Hwan Hong`s title winning effort against Hector Carrasquilla was a barnburner while it lasted. After an even first round, Hong was knocked down four times in the 2nd and at the end of the round everyone felt that Hector would only need a few solid blows to end matters decisively in the 3rd.

Hector came out with the intention of doing just that, but was met at ring centre by Hong who had other plans in mind and who proceeded to catch the Colombian with a left hook on the point of the chin to turn the tide as the latter was throwing his own right hand.

Carrasquilla was now on wobbly legs and had to retreat into the ropes to stay upright, at which point Hong unloaded everything he had left and finally put his man down with two consecutive left hooks win the fight and title in front of his opponents hometown crowd.

This was one of the most unexpected and dramatic twists of fate I have ever seen in a boxing ring. After the second round pummeling that Hong endured you would have never believed that he could come back the way he did to win the fight in the very next round! Wildly exciting fight that was, glad I have a copy of it.

Another fight well worth a mention would be Nigel Benn vs Anthony Logan, that was one of the best two round brawls you will ever see.

Norris-Jackson was fun while it lasted and the ending was sudden and brutal.

Great call! I loved the look on Hong's face after one of the knockdowns Carrasquilla scored on him. If there was ever an advertisement for waiving the three knockdown rule, this was it!

PS: Did you also happen to see the bloodbath where Hong lost the title in Seoul to Ricardo Cardona? The referee was afraid to stop it for fear of losing his life in a hometown riot (much like the one following the end of Hagler/Minter). I can't think off-hand of another contest where the loser actually became weak from exsanguination. (Hong must have needed a blood transfusion afterwards.)
