Best Ever US Olympic Team?

    ............Whenever I think of that team, I automatically think of little Leo Randolph. I knew him when I fought out of the Al Davies Club in Tacoma. He was embarking on what amounted to an aborted comeback in the mid-80's, but he won gold in Montreal and was alos the junior-feather champ as a pro.

    He initially gave up his career after losing his title so he could pursue his goal of driving a dump truck.

    One of the nicest people I've ever met anywhere. Always had a kind word for us noobs.

    Randolph was always "the other" gold medalist from 1976.

    Yeah, didn't he go to the 1972 and 76 Olympics? 72 at 106 and then 76 at 125. He was from Puyallup, wasn't he? Ah, such fond memories of Puyallup.

    There's no proof of that; as they didn't compete against Soviet or Cuban boxers.

    For BB hell yeah. Jordan, Barkley, Drexler, Pippen, Ewing, and Robinson.

    Well I was like 5. I just remember that the team included Whitaker and Holyfield. Almost forgot Taylor.

    Yes, as pros the 1984 team went on to great things. But as amateurs the 1976 team accomplished more.
