Obviously a flame worthy subject, and a couple fights I can think of people may use might provoke controversy, but I've seriously been trying to think of all the more times a fighter has won by ko in one fight, but lost to the same fighter in another bout. Serious question, so leaving examples with a minimum of insulting other peoples examples i.e. getting into a war over whether one example is a lucky punch or not would be great.
This doesn't fit the criteria you laid out, but Julian Jackson's KO of Herol Graham was pretty darn lucky. Was miles behind in the fight, could only see out of one eye and sparked Graham with one massive shot.
Inb4 whining b1tches spamming "Lucas/Garcia, Pac/JMM4" Very obvious that this will became a huge shitfest. No such thing as a "lucky" punch in boxing.
Fair enough. And yeah, I honestly don't want it be a shitfest and REALLY don't want the PacJMM4 debate, but I'd still like examples of fighters losing by knockout and beating the same opponent in different bouts.
Eubanks knockout of Watson in their second fight was a bit 'lucky'. Eubank was all but out before the punch. Thought Watson was robbed in the first fight as well.
There are 2 guys in a ring fighting each other, neither are allowed to punch the referee, one assumes that each of them are NOT stupid enough to throw punches behind themselves, therefore, how can there be such a thing as a LUCKY punch in boxing?
I can see lucky in the sense of a weird or bad call like a fighter being KO'd by a low blow or a fighter lets his guard down for the 10 second tap and not the bell and gets KO'd lucky punch I dont like to say because guy either by heart or skill stayed in the fight long enough even if way behind or absorbing a pounding to stick around long enough to throw and land something devastating Lots of fights you see a guy score a big time KO on a punch you saw them try to set up and maybe even miss or glancing connect on earlier in the fight
You mean best example of perfect punch? Ones that do a they are intended and KO an opponent cold? Or lands perfectly on the body dropping their opponent like a sack of potatoes? I could name plenty if that's what you mean..
Yeah, i d go with this, prob luckier shot s to be had ,but this is the first one that came to mind, and fraudly harrison last punch of the last round to ko sprott with a dislocated shoulder, both lucky bangs
