For those familiar with the silent agreement, what are the best examples you can provide?

    Lewis-Tua comes to mind.

    Others a bit more historical?

Lots of guys that fought Wlad Klitschko. He was happy to jab all night and win on points. Guys that came to KO him generally tasted the counter right down the pipe and decided that they'd rather eat the jab than go out on a stretcher.

Back in the "good old days", when boxers had a much busier schedule than today (and therefore less time to recuperate from a hard fight), I think it's reasonable to assume, that not all fights were fiercely contested!

Whether it was spoken or unspoken, there must have been some sort of agreement, not to go too hard on each other... so everybody could live to fight another day, and that way bring food on the table. Of course not all fights were like that - but there were probably a lot of them back when 100-200 fight careers were the order of the day.

I bet someone like Langford carried a lot of opponents - and indeed some of his fights (Jack Thompson, Porky Dan Flynn, Jack Blackburn, George Cole) ended with both men being thrown out, when the sham was too obvious.

So unsilent that we the audience can make out certain bits said during the fight which is amazing as the audio quality is straight up dudu on the lone source all posted versions seem to be ripped from

There probably wasn't a silent agreement between DLH and Trinidad, but I can sure see why someone would believe that.
