Jersey Joe Walcott was perhaps the best heavyweight feinter. Jimmy Young was a good one as well- he could control the action through moving his shoulders. I also liked the way that Holyfield would feint with his feet- see the 10th round of Tyson-Holyfield I for an example of how to do that perfectly.

Duran is a definite pick. Pac is ok but not at the ATG level of feinting.

Hopkins is perhaps the best active feinter.

Charley Burley and Archie Moore were two great practitioners who were around at the same time and around the same weight.

Willie Pep was good, although I seem to remember he didn't create opportunities as well as Moore did.

Overall, I'd say Moore: he would open up opportunities and then take advantage of them, as well as using feints defensively to control the action.

Marquez is the greatest feinter in my life time.

If you watch, the distance he actually extends his feint punch before firing the other is incredible.

I've read about Benny Leonard and Tommy Loughran being great at feinting, Billy Conn as well. Buddy McGirt used to feint with his hands, head, shoulders, feet and knees.

Kid Gavilan and Charley Burley from then.

Bob Fitzsimmons and Jimmy Carroll from way back when!

Bernard Hopkins and Juan Manuel Marquez from right now.

I always thought Roy Jones jr. was a brilliant if unorthodox feinter.

Yes. Maybe not career wise but De La Hoya. Delahoya Vargas
    is a great example.

There've been so many..Conn, Harold johnson, Walcott, Pep, ahh, too many to list, but the one that really fascinated me was Duran...esp. vs Carlos Palomino...ohhh, poor carlos..he was so befuddled and intimidated by Duran..
