What would you most like to see Khan if he stops @140. Lets have a look at some of the options: 1. Tim Bradley The obvious choice is Bradley to crown the king of the division. Tim however is most likely waiting to be feed to Manny Pacquiao before taking up the challenge. Which is a shame because a victory for Tim would make Bradley vs Pacquiao a lot more marketable, likewise if Khan beat Bradley, Khan-Mayweather would be bigger. 2. Robert Guerrero-Marcos Madiana winner Some say Madiana and Khan have unfinished business and should settle it in a rematch, and Guerrero is an excellent boxer who will become a big factor at 140 with a win over Maidana. 3. Erik Morales-Lucas Mattheyese winner A fight with Mexican legend Morales would do big numbers and Mattheyese may be an even bigger puncher than Maidana and is probably an all round better boxer. 4. Lamont Peterson Mandatory challenger for Khan's belt. 5. Bredis Prescott Khans one-time conquerer 6. Brandon Rios Lightweight stand out who has talked about moving up in weight to face Khan, 7. Michael Katsidis Brawler with the kind of power that could give Khan trouble. 8. Kevin Mitchell Country man of Khan coming off big victory over John Murray.
1. Bradley- no question 2. Maidana II- he's the next best plus their first was great 3. Prescott- because he destroyed Khan in less than 60 seconds
Timid Bradley He would be the most ideal opponent, but at 140, this fight is dead now. No point wasting any more time talking about him. Guerrero-Maidana winner Only if Guerrero wins, should Khan consider this as an option. He’s already settle business with Maidana. No point visiting that again. High risk, low reward. ****Morales-Matthysse winner I get the feeling that Khan will only entertain the winner of this if it is Morales. Ideally, I’d love for him to face Matthysse, but sadly, I haven't seen Khan’s camp throwing his name around that much. Although recently, Khan himself has been mentioning the two, and he said he wants the winner to add the WBC belt to his collection. This is the fight I want. Hopefully it happens. Lamont Peterson Nah. Not interested in this anymore. He had his chance to fight back in April. Breidis Prescott He’s going to be embarrassed by McCloskey, and hopefully fade into obscurity for good. Brandon Rios By the time he moves up to 140, Khan would be at 147 by then. Thank God, too. Because Rios would be a nightmare for him. Michael Katsidis. His stock has been falling slowly. Not worth the effort any more. Kevin Mitchell One good win over a Euro-level John Murray, don’t qualify him a as a good opponent, in my opinion.
His best future opponent would be Juan Manuel Marquez if he loses to Pacquiao and moves back down to 140.
The Guerrero-Maidana winner, or the Morales-Matthysse winner are both acceptable fights to me. Maybe Prescott just to shut the last remaining doubters up, so they don't bring it up in every ****ing argument anymore. The Bradley fight is not happening, so there's no point even dwelling on that **** anymore.
