I have never witnessed a better championship fight, one that I anticipated for months..... I almost cried just like Lampley..... I wanted Cotto to win, but at this point I do not care, it was the best fight I have ever witnessed... AM proved himself tonight, he is the true Welterweight champ and should be P4P top 5
great fight lets hope it happens again. put this fight on regular cable and boxing is back into the mainstream
I almost started crying when Cotto got up after the first knee. His face looked BRUTAL, i was like :admin . I couldn't believe what i was seeing. And i am a Mayweather fan.
I'm 19, I watched the third morales/barrera fight, I watched Taylor/Pavlik, and Vasquez/Marquez 3. This beats all of them. Cotto is boxing margaritos head off until 5th where hes badly hurt. back to cotto boxing then late stoppage for Margarito. Unbelievable power shots landing round after round.
I was actually sad when Cotto went down too, but as they announced, he would have lost the match even if he didn't get KOed .... I like Cotto, and he has nothing to be ashamed of, he just met with the biggest, meanest welterweight since Tommy Hearns, but this boxer cannot be knocked out! Bravo to Boxing, this was the best fight of the last 20 years, and anyone could have enjoyed it. I watched it on a 60' big screen in HD at a huge house party, with people ranging from 16 years old to 60 .... everyone loved it, everyone was cheering .... absolutely amazing .
Yep I was very sad for Cotto and very happy for Margarito but it was great for boxing and why boxing is the greatest sport.
well put! too often the big title fights end up being big boring let-downs. This has been one tremendous fight. Everyone got their PPV's money worth for sure!
