Gatti vs Ward, Barrera vs Morales and Castillo vs Corrales are all in the upper echelon, a category of their own. Any of those 3 fights deserve the accolade IMO. Then you've got fights like Trinidad vs Vargas, Tony vs Jirov, and Vazquez vs Marquez (III) which aren't quite the cream of the crop, but still excellent fights.
Taking into consideration the quality of opposition and the significance of the fight in addition to the in-ring action,I would say the first Morales-Barrera fight.Great sustained action over the entire course of the fight, with some brutal and savage exchanges shared between the two throughout.
Barrera v morales was insane! Action packed the whole way through and kept you guessing. Barrera was robbed but got a gift in the second fight so it aient bad
Absolutely. I just tip Barrera/Morales because they were #1 and #2, in there prime and so evenly matched. Neither really dominated at any point, they just punched the ever loving **** out of eachother for the duration. Gold.
Barrera v Morales nice too see Somsak Sithchatchawal-Mahyar Monshipour on the list it is a fight that is often overlooked on this kind of threads
I honestly didn't enjoy that fight too much, actually. Thought there were about 10-15 better fights over the course of the decade, personally.
