Best fight right now - winner of Joyce vs Zhang against Hrgovic

If you can't see Hrgovic was struggling to match Joyce in terms of pace and getting outworked in the later rounds then you need to take the blinkers off. Because it's very clear Hrgovic was struggling in a 5 rd fight, 3-4 more rounds and he'd have likely been gassing and trying to just survive.

Yes Hrgovic was younger but he was also the more experienced of the two, since they've fought Joyce has only improved as a pro, while Hrgovic has made no improvement since turning pro, in fact he may have regressed due to facing only over matched opposition with the exception of Zhang.

I agree the fight should happen if Joyce and Hrgovic can't get a title shot, but I only see one winner and that's Joyce. I've always thought Joyce would win in this match up even before Joyce beat Dubois and Hrgovic looked so poor vs Zhang. It's a matter of styles, I just can't see what Hrgovic can do with his skill set to beat Joyce. He isn't knocking him out and he isn't going to win on points if he's going to get outworked like we saw in the ams.

 

Joyce would run over Hrgovic...easy work for the Juggernaut.

I don’t see the fuss with Hrgovic. He lost against Zhang in my opinion. He wants the lions share vs anyone with a pulse (Parker/Ruiz) that actually have a fan base then accuses them of ducking. It’s obvious he wants to wait out for his mandatory. Unlike Joyce who is actually fighting good fighters.

 

Great performance by Hrgović; I'm fascinated. 19 years old, and this is how he spars with Wilder! If I were to score sparring, Hrgović won.

 

The Juggernaut deserves a title shot. Nothing less.

 

60/40 vs Ruiz was never going to happen. Outside of hardcore fans no one knows who Hrgovic is. And on his big stage he was awful against Zhang. Maybe it wasn’t a robbery but he was extremely fortunate to get the decision. Kudos to Zhang though. Fun to watch.

 

Again I do see your point. I just think if he took a low amount he could get a name on his record. I also get the business side and the mandatory amount for a title shot would be significant and he doesn’t want to give that up for pennies.

RE fights, I said the Del Boy fight was a disgrace and last weekends one was a bore fest. I just expected more from Hrgovic in the Zhang fight which I think is fair
