I've been fortunate to attend some cards with big-name fighters live here and there over the years -- and some of the best actual s****s I've seen with my own eyes were undercard bouts on club shows, but they don't usually have the skill level. It's just a fight. But I was at Holyfield-Qawi I, two guys going toe-to-toe non-stop, 100-punches-per-round from each guy. What a fight.
It is a tie for three best fights I ever saw in person. Ali vs Frazier, Patterson vs Chuvalo and Depaula vs Tiger. For an exciting fight and atmosphere I actually liked the Patterson vs Chuvalo fight the most. The Ali vs Frazier was a close 2nd. For the most exciting, it would be the 1st three rounds of Frankie Depaula vs Dick Tiger.
