Excluding the Barrera-Morales trilogy, the first that came in my mind is Duran-Leonard 1. Amazing exchanges and skill between to all-time greats.

I can't recall a knockdown or 8-count in the first Ayala-Tapia fight either, but it's been a while since I saw it. I Remember that it was a great fight.

And my 3rd choice is the first fight between Erik Morales & Manny Pacquiao.

Very recently, Cotto-Mosley and Campbell-Diaz were both excellent fights. As well as the rematch between Pavlik and Taylor.

i think his fight with el feroz was much more entertaining in terms of a full distance affair with no knockdowns

But there weren't any knockdowns or eight counts. Of course, if that's acceptable, we have to include the Thrilla in Manilla.

I actually really enjoyed Lewis-Mavrovic. Given their respective power and the amount of leather they laid on each other, it's amazing neither of them went down.

Ike-Tua was probably the best "slugfest" not to feature any knockdowns or 8 counts. An interesting mix of clever in-fighting and delightfully mindless brawling at range that was awe-inspiring to watch at the time, when the power of both boxers was well-known but the durability wasn't. It also told us a lot about both boxers: Tua was a short boxer who, like Tyson, was actually best at mid-range; Ike was best at short-range where his strength and courage were extremely useful.

The Toney-McCallum fights are amongst the best fights I've seen in the modern era in terms of combining skill and entertainment.
