I think AJ would do better than Bowe v Marciano because he uses his reach more and Walcott`s shots looked harder when landing on Rocky than a lot of Bowe`s shots did landing on Holy in their first fight, watch how Walcott turns his hips and puts everything into those shots while Bowe doesn`t with most of the shots he lands on Evander in `92.
Yet I've seen guys who torqued every bit of leverage out of their bodies and couldn't break thru a paper bag. Bowe hit harder than Walcott.
No offense meant to the US but I notice a number of forum users from America lie slamming people with learning difficulties, are you American and is that normal behaviour in that seemingly angry country? (My granny grew up in America, just saying)
Maybe but I`m pretty sure Walcott could break a paper bag and a lot of Bowe`s shots were jabs mixed in with firmer shots, my point is even if Bowe generated more power with his shots at times than Walcot could, a lot of his shots weren`t hard at all.
Marciano took shots that Enzo couldn`t have and neither could Haye who was knocked out by a cruiser who failed to stop Eubank Sr after he moved up two weight classes.
Tucker did far better v prime Tyson than Bruno could v a Rooney less Mike, Rocky would have landed on Frank the same amount Mike did but would struggle more to land on Tucker who would tie him up inside easily and take his shots the same way he took Tyson`s, Smith could have also taken Rocky`s power and would have created another bore fest like he did v Tyson, also if he caught Rock the shot that shook Tyson in their final round he would have sparked Marciano.
Marciano and Tyson didn’t fight anything alike though. Tyson relied on his speed, athleticism, and handspeed to get his punches of from the midrange where he was deadly. However, Mike wasn’t so great on the inside, which is why guys were able to neutralize him by tying him up. Even in his prime if you take away Tyson’s preferred range he became very beatable. Mike’s poor inside game is also why I don’t think Tyson would’ve ever been able to beat Holyfield. Also, Tyson never was able land on either Smith or Tucker from his preferred range. If he did he would’ve put either Tucker or Smith on their backs. Bonecrusher realized this late in the figh, but it was too late. If Marciano finds either Smith or Tucker’s chin their size won’t stop them from going down. I also doubt that shot from Smith that rocked Tyson alone would’ve sparked Marciano. It was a hard shot, but Smirh was out of position to follow it up with anything. If Smith had been in position to follow it up with a left hook he most likely would’ve stopped Tyson. Smith landed a hard right on Marvis Frazier, but couldn’t stop him.
