I voted Berto on the grounds of he has had a belt the longest and has defended it the most. Ability is Khan or Ward or even Gamboa. Most have either not gotten a title yet or have not had it for very long

And that list above isn't even including guys like Juan Manuel Lopez, Alfredo Angulo, Gennady Golovkin, Vyacheslav Uzelkov, Alexander Alexeev and Vanes Martirosyan.

Lopez should probably be on the poll over Escobedo, but whatever.

    Poll fail!
Why didn't you include Golovkin. The guy who schooled Dirrell in the competition and will again when they meet in the future.

Rigondeaux gets my vote. He will beat Gamboa if they fight imo.

I don't think either will be elite. So if you voted Berto, you are just as guilty.

Rigo and it's not even close, he was one of the best amateurs ever.

I'd replace Escobedo with Gennady Golovkin.

The Kessler fight convinced me that it is Andre Ward. Future pound for pound number one, I'd say.

Prior to that fight it may have been closer.

I may have had Gamboa ahead of Ward before the Kessler fight.

He hasn't made noise in the professional ranks yet, so I thought it would be premature to really have him at the top.
