Bonnar and Franklin being his 2nd and 3rd fights too, insane.

Plus there's a weight difference, but he does have BJ Penn on his resume too.

Well okay, but there's no excuses for handing Franklin his first loss in his third fight.

Who has a better resume than him after that many fights?

He has been fighting since 2003 it's not like he hasn't had the chance to have more fights.
As an example on fedor 13th fight he dominated big nog, in eight fights hunt had beaten better guys than machida.

I want to see machida fight rampage in his next fight as that will be a good test to see if he can hang with the real top guys.

Lyoto Vs Thiago Silva for a title shot seems right to me.

would be a great fight but it could mean rampage having to fight another guy after forest before the fight gets made and i don't see who is reallt in the position to get a title shot.

Because of his resume, Machida clearly deserves a shot soon. I'm wondering if he gets screwed over by the UFC, though. I imagine Dana doesn't want a "boring" fighter as his 205 champion. And I put boring in quotes because I think he's a smooth, technical, and fun fighter to watch. But he seems to get a lot of flak from the casual fans.

Possible, but the announcers hype the **** out of him, so maybe not.

Actually, thinking about it, you could have a good drinking game if you took a shot every time Rogan says "elusive" during his fights.

I like to take a shot everytime he yells, "It is all over!"

Can't remember if it was Goldberg or Rogan, but one of them delivered my favourite UFC quote ever when they said "Randy, you've been losing weight your whole life...." Just the visual of him being born at about 600 lbs and gradually losing weight to what he is today killed me for a good five minutes.

Doesn't quite top Yves Edwards "I've been training with guys who hit harder than anyone's ever been hit before" (Holy **** that's hardcore!) as my favourite MMA quote ever, but close.

That happens so often, it's like asking to fall into an alcohol induced coma.
