The fight between Floyd and Oscar shouldn't have been a SD, that's just stupid judging. Floyd Sr in a interview a few days after the fight said he watched the fight and that Floyd did win, but that Oscar could've won that fight had he been his trainer.

And no Judah isn't more of a credible opponent, he only fights for 15 secs of every round and only fights for the first 3 rounds. Hatton was PRIME and gives his all in every second of every round.

 

Mayweather is definitely the best fighter of '07. No doubt.

Being the first and only man to stop Ricky Hatton is an incredible achievement. He will go down in history for being the man who finally put an end to Hatton's unbeaten run. Also, beating a man, De La Hoya, who was so much naturally bigger than him is also an incredible achievement.

 

He owned himself. Just ignore him.

 

Shane and Cotto both have the styles and tools to give Fraud ten times more problems that Hatton ever could. . . the dude should not be fighting above 140 period.

 

KELLY fought TWO legitimate MW monsters in their PRIME.

COTTO fought an old, but still dangerous SSM and Judah.

Mayweather Jr. fought a promoter/fighter past his best ODLH and a 140 fighter who looks like doo-doo @ 47.

Were not talking about a fight between Cotto and Mayweather were talking fighter of the year.

 

At worse DLH=Mosley, Mosley, Mosley is 36 years old, Cotto was hurt, his corner had to cheat and he ran away the last few rounds. And to me it was draw which many feel he lost.

Make a thread about who has an argument for who lost their big fight, Shane-Cotto or Floyd-DLH. I guarentee that more people will say Cotto-Mosley has a WAY bigger argument then Floyd-DLH does. Floyd-DLH wasen't even close and you are only going by what one of the judges scorecards came out to be.

You tried to claim Urkal was never stopped before and now you are backtracking.

A Hatton win is better then a Judah win. He is the Lineal 140lb Champion, came into the ring weighing 154, (what he weighs on fight night as a Jr WW) unlike when he fought Collazo weighing 160.


BTW - Make that post, I gaurentee more people will feel Mosley beat Cotto then DLH beat FLoyd.

Zertuche!? Who is Zertuche!? He certainly wasn't in anyone's Top 20, let alone Top 10. Miranda was a hard-hitting contender, but hardly the world-beater he was made out to be. And Jermain Taylor, while champion, was considered damaged goods going into the KP fight. Even then, he almost won in the second round.

Cotto probably gets second place. You like to point out that Mosley was 36, eze, but, the fact remains was that he's still much better at 36 than most other welterweights will ever be at their absolute peak. The Mosley that fought Cotto beats Margo...beats Cintron...and, in my opinion, is 50/50 against Williams. Judah, for all intents and purposes, was the exact same Judah who fought PBF. And Urkal was, and is, rated in the Top 10 at 147lbs. Three wins over contenders; 2 over fighters who were Top 5...one over a fighter who defeated DLH twice is a damned good accomplishment...and really, I don't quite understand why you chose to diminish it as much as you have.

(Oh yeah, Floyd remains my choice for FOTY in '07.)
