Were you even around at the time? This is an event that caught a lot of press so of course I'm going to remember most of the details surrounding it. I seem to be the only person who can recall the comments of round 6.

Unlike the others here, I can actually back up everything I say.

Don't you know? Terry Norris beat the living **** out of a peak Ray Leonard.

And Camacho floored him with a jab!

But, sadly, that was in the 90s; I loathe Leonard, but he was the fighter of the 80s...

34, inactive, and had never made the weight for 7 years? Gotta be joking.

I can imagine you in a game of chess when the opponent tells you "checkmate" and you reply "so what?"

    No layoffs

top fighting weight of 154 (no worries over sacrificing hand speed)

    5-1 favorite

    unbeaten in 11 years

    5 time champion

Enjoyed rave reviews in his previous win, winning every round.

Now you can see why I'm so impressed with Terry. Nobody gave Terry a chance other than his trainers and family and me, but even so took a heavy favorite then humbled him in the ring then retired him.

My man Terry Norris, retired ray Leonard!

Think about it. That's how resounding his win was. Terry had taken down a man that had gotten progressively better since the Hagler fight and exploited his every weakness. And he made it look easy.

I dont even think Terry was breathing hard after he was through with him

I don't mind if you think Hagler is a better fighter than Leonard because at least thats realistic but the fact that you say that Terry Norris is greater fighter than a peak Leonard is ridiculous you taking about the same Terry Norris that got iced in 4 Rds by Simon Brown and the same Terry Norris that lost on points to a guy I've never even heard of before called Derrick Kelly , nothing against Terry but lets face the facts.

    Anyone got the odds?

So the best you got is Arum saying it's "a very real possibility" of Hagler losing?

I got this one for you: Gil Clancy saying in the last round "This has never been done before in the history of boxing - win or lose."

He probably got a bit excited in the moment, but it does say something.

Beating LaLonde was impressive. It's revisionist bull**** to say anything else. A post-prime natural WW knocks a pretty good, hard punching LHW the **** out. It's not as impressive as his wins over Hagler, Benitez and Hearns, but it is pretty ****ing far from bad.

    Ps. You're a nut.

By the way, Norris' win over Leonard probably gets underrated here. Leonard was past it, but he had some good perfomances not too far in the past, and Norris beat him comprehensively. Norris should get his due for this.

Tough Decision. Hagler & Holmes ruled thier divisions for most of the decade. But Leonard did have the most high profile bouts.

Ruthless finish. One of the greatest finishes of all-time.
