Murray at the time was a good win. Murray 'lost' to one of the best middleweights in this decade with a hometown decision. I still think it is GGG's best performance.
Both have them have fought no one really, Murray an Porter best names on their list in my opinion. If golovkin wins then that means his biggest win is against a welterweight that had 1 good name to him, porter. Pretty shocking really for both
True, but no one is placing Brook even in the top 10 P4P list, he is judged according to his record which is pretty slim pickings as you say. GGG has a padded record too and yet some people blow smoke up his a**
And Lemieux was just a paper champ who won a vacant belt. That's the only world champ Golovkin ever beat. His place in the top 5 p4p is unwarranted for having such a weak record.
I Agree entirely. And There's no way he should be ranked above Kovalev in any mythical p4p list, period.
Its probably Murray, Geale, or Lemieux and that is not saying much. He is a good fighter in a mediocre division. His best hope is to fight more proven fighters coming up from the weight classes below or stick around for the next era of up and coming MWs and hope he isn't too old to beat them. Seeing as moving up is not going to happen which really is not realistic given how late in his career it is.
