Best fighter peak Kownacki could’ve beaten?

I think he probably reached his peak by scraping past Charles Martin. He was protected pretty well by the PBC until the Helenius fight of course.

Kownacki was always a massive KO waiting to happen to him, he was a poor man's version of Joe Joyce.

 

I'd say his victories and losses pretty accurately reflect his ability.

Of a previous era I think fights with guys like Alex Leapai, Travis Walker and Clifford Etienne would be a lot of fun

 

If Tye Fields was around he might have had another won. Otherwise he beat the best guys he could have defeated and lost to the best guys he fought.

It really shows that Charles Martin was possibly the worst world heavyweight champion of all time losing to a fat mess like Kownacki

 

He could beat a lot of decent heavyweights past and present his style just isn't one that's sustainable for very long.

 

Same exact boat as Joyce. His chin, workrate, pressure are going to cause a lot of guys problems until all of the punishment he absorbs utilizing the homer simpson strategy catches up with him. Put him in any era he's going to have some good fights and beat some decent names until it all catches up with him. Wouldn't count him out against some of the chinny/mediocre champs of the past, but he's almost certainly dropping the belt right away.

 

He beat an ageing but not shot Arreola 9-3 and scraped past Martin 6-4.

I'd give prime Kownacki a good chance against Ruiz, he could take his power and outwork him as Miller did.
