Idk but the most frustrating fighter to ever come from Texas has to be Rocky Juárez. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/juárez-simply-needs-to-find-another-gear.178707/ Potential for greatness, but a wet fart in the windstorm.
Rocky was known to be very territorial- if you came to 'his' gym, he would put it on you. Regardless of weight classes he made sure that you knew it was his gym. I have been told that by many people.
All due respect to the Galveston Giant, but Maurice “Termite” Watkins was the best-nicknamed Texas boxer. James “Bubba” Busceme and Randall “Tex” Cobb were the most authentically-Texan nicknamed.
I agree. "Tex" Cobb is the only fighter that was endorsed by Old El Paso Hot Sauce which speaks volumes. Later "Tex" was also inducted into the Pennsylvania Boxing Hall of Fame which seals the deal.
Not ranking these boys from Texas, just enjoying naming them. It's got a rich history. Here are 3 more: Manny Gonzalez Robin Blake Juan 'Baby Bull' Diaz
We like you. So me and JT1 are gonna give you one chance to reconsider. Choose your next words carefully, for they may be your last.
