9-6-1 as a pro was 6-0-1 but had a few personal things go on... 19-4 as a senior amateur (from 17- boxed in the ABA's at 17 when I decided to get serious). 8-8 as a junior.... Wow that makes me 36-18-1 (10) lol.... never looked at it like that- i'm a vet.
I fought her at Ringside. One judge had me down by one point and another by two. Then she went and stopped everyone else in the tournament in the first round.
I sparred with Foreman, Shavers, Fraizer, Norton and Young in the 70's. Wich is why I have brain damage now but nevertheless it was worth the honour and I can point to my ugly demolished face and tell my grandkids the story of how it got that way and they can live in pride knowing their grandpa took the shots from the best and lived to tell the tail. Oh and I forgot, I also sparred and knocked out, James Smith, Frank Bruno and Evander Holyfield in the mid 80's.
Done a couple of exhibitions with a long retired Steve Collins. His words to me before the first time were "i'll go for you as hard as you go for me", followed by a wink and a smile... I read that as "if you try to take my head off, i'll take yours off!" Needless to say, I tried to box him instead of trying to make a name for myself... needless to say, I got spanked!
What? You are just jealous beacuse I sparred with the best and you sparred with some losers. Boy you better get you'r act together, you are messing with the big league now!
Martin Ward who is a European Class Junior from London at 58kgs. Just so quick hit me before I even knew teh round had started. Just a proper class fighter. Just did 2 rounds Also James Price who was a top scottish amatuer fought alot of the top lads who are now top pros Kevin Anderson being probably the most famous. He trains me so we spar alot.
Guy who I recently sparred with was apparently a former British title challenger & I got the better of him imo. Not bad after about 5 and a half months
