Carlos Monzon vs. Bennie Briscoe II
    Bob Foster vs. Chris Finnegan
Rafael Herrera vs. Ruben Olivares II
Esteban DeJesus vs. Roberto Duran I

That's all I could come up with. Any others?

The Ring made Foster v Finnegan FOTY. It was a decent fight but not amazing by any stretch.

Just what I thought. When I saw it, I enjoyed it, but couldn't believe it was FOTY. But it really was the best fight of the year. Still a dang good fight.

Duran-Buchanan is one of my all time favs. Kind of one-sided but a great performance by Duran in his first bout on the world stage. And I love old garden fights from that era.

oh yes, forgot that one. I would definitely make that one of the highlights of the year, but I tend to label that more as a classic Duran performance, more than a classic fight.

Roberto Duran vs Ken Buchanan, June 26 1972, Duran by TKO 13, Carlos Monzon vs Bad Bennie Briscoe, Nov 11 1972, Monzon by UD, and Floyd Patterson vs Oscar Ringo Bonavena, Patterson by UD.

I do think Patterson vs. Bonavena is a bit underrated. Great finish from Floyd, but a little slow otherwise.
