That guy getting punched in the mouth in your avatar is ATG. He also had a great fight with the dude that is trying to screw Pacman over. :-D
A list of great fighters and their best fights for people like me who are studying the sweet science of boxing, by stick it I mean to put it on top of the forum with the fantasy poster and bareknuckle boxing ressource ex : Muhammad Ali Sonny Liston Joe Frazier Trilogy "Fight of the Century" and "Thrilla in Manilla" Ken Norton George Foreman "The Rumble in the Jungle" Leon Spinks Larry Holmes etc...
both and we can exlplain why too (if you need to), I think it's a good idea and it would helpful to a lot of people like me who are relatively new to boxing history
Julio Cesar Chavez: Juan LaPorte: Good, close fight against maybe one of the toughest fighters in history. LaPorte's punch resistance was sick. Edwin Rosario: Chavez at his best. He was just a machine. Sammy Fuentes: More of Chavez the machine, gradually breaking down an opponent with beautiful combos, body shots, and steady pressure. Meldrick Taylor I: One of the best fights of the decade, and still to this day, a hotly debated ending. Frankie Randall I: Chavez's first loss was a very entertaining fight. Roberto Duran: Esteban Dejesus: I guess it's good to see all 3 fights to see how Duran fought differently in all 3 of them. The 2nd was the most action-packed, but the third was vintage Duran. Very complete performance, as Duran did it all. Terrific defense, how he circled away and constantly ducked Dejesus's left hook, and then punished him to the body after ducking the hook. Good boxing from Duran behind the jab, a slow and subtle beatdown on the inside, and a beautiful uppercut to essentially end the fight. Carlos Palomino: Duran gave Carlos a bad beating. Feinted him silly and just beat him up on the inside. Ray Leonard I and II: The first fight was probably Duran's best performance, and the rematch is worth watching just because of the magnitude of it. The rubber match was god-awful. Davey Moore: Duran wins a world title in his 3rd weight class in a brutal beating. Horrible ref job, the NYSAC should be ashamed of what happened in the undercard and this main event. Iran Barkley: Duran's last hurrah, and a very entertaining fight as well as a good win for Duran over a bigger, younger opponent.
One of the most entertaining fighters ever, Matthew Saad Muhammad: Marvin Johnson I and II Yaqui Lopez II Richie Kates All great fights that I highly recommend to watch. Especially the first fight with M. Johnson and the Lopez rematch.
James "Lights Out" Toney Jirov Barkley Nunn Mcallum Litles Holyfield (I can't edit the first message anymore, why?)
Pernell Whitaker: Julio Cesar Chavez: The top 2 fighters in the sport, Chavez a slight favorite. Pea puts on a signature performance, what should have been his defining win. Proves himself better on the inside than one of the all-time great inside fighters. Buddy McGirt I & II: Pea takes the linear welterweight crown from a top 5 P4P in a close but very clear win. After the 4th round in their rematch, Pea simply outclasses McGirt. The 2nd figth is his best showing at 147lbs IMO. Jose Luis Ramirez II: You can watch the first one too, because he pretty much outclassed him there as well, but the decision just ruins it. The rematch however, very well could be the greatest display of boxing I have ever seen. Quite possibly his best performance. Azumah Nelson: Whitaker's best win. Takes on a top 10 P4P, an ATG, and more or less outclasses him. 9 rounds to 3 on my card. Greg Haugen: If Ramirez II isn't his best performace, than this is. Haugen was a solid fighter and he was at his best here, yet he couldn't win a round, nothing more than a few seconds against prime Whitaker. Julio Cesar Vasquez: 53-1 Jr. Middleweight champ, arguably the best in his division at the time, and Pea loses 2, maybe 3 rounds. I feel a past his prime Whitaker beat a peak DLH, so that's a good one as well. Also, the overall showing is not impressive, but when he came from behind and after being dropped to knock out Hurtado, Pea proved his greatness by overcoming this adversity.
Foreman Frazier 1 & George did some slaughter job on a great fighter. In that BBC series, Foreman talked about his strategy going into that bout & it's perfection. Just jab and take a step. They knew Frazier would still be trying to come in > that jab and they could load up w/ hooks and uppurcuts. And shove Frazier's shoulders and Make Joe start from the outside again. Norton. Foreman walked thru the guy after about the first 2 minutes of the fight. Lots of folks were picking an upset at the time, but George just backed Kenny up and kept firing that heavy artillery & it didn't take long to land a big shot. That was a pretty brutal finish in there & made it pretty much unnecessary for any thoughts of a rematch. Later on Foreman fought a lose the battle but win the war type fight against an undefeated southpaw. That's a whole different style than the previous efforts of his & not many guys can change styles to that degree. The right hand that finished the fight was picture perfect & showed what a great finisher Foreman was.
