The dreaded D word. We have all seen some fights end in a draw where we thought someone got screwed. This thread is for those fights that were draws that were so good that no one deserved to lose.

I just got done rewatching Eddie The Animal Lopez vs Leon Spinks which is one of my all time favorite heavyweight fights. I still think Leon should have won by a point but applaud how hard both guys fought and really have no problem with the draw. Genuine respect showed towards each other in the post fight interview. They both knew they did something special that night.

What are some other excellent fights that ended in draws?

The first McCallum-Toney fight was a brilliant one. Hearns-Leonard II is also a better fight than people remember. Doomed to suffer by comparison to their first meeting, and of course the draw verdict leaves a sour taste for a lot of people, but judged on its own merits it was a good twelve rounds of fighting.

Excellent choices! Especially McCallum vs Toney I. Neither one really deserved to lose that fight. I enjoyed Hearns vs Leonard II but though Tommy got screwed that night. It was still a good one though.

Toney by a couple of rounds or so, three absolute tops. But close enough to not grumble too much about the verdict, a draw was no disgrace or robbery. Now if McCallum had got the decision outright....

McCrory-Jones 1. Good action fight, both of them. Jones was almost as bad as Laporte with his punch economy. Very winnable fight for him if he was just more active but he just refused to throw. Maddening.

Very even fight, with McCrory essentially sweeping the first half of it, and Jones clearly taking the second half. I too scored it a draw.
