Me and my brother like to watch fights together.. but more often then not we don't have a ton of time at the same time together...

What fights are some of your favorites that only made it half-way?

Edit* Posted in Classics because people in GD are stupid.. I would get 50 Pac vs Hatton and 50 more Mayweather vs Ortiz

    Juan Meza vs Jaime Garza

    Naseem Hamed vs Kevin Kelly

    Naseem Hamed vs Augie Sanchez

Michael Moorer vs Bert Cooper - Oh man; I just finished watching this.. These guys beat the hell outta each other.. Can you say Foreman v Lyle? Coopers mouth piece kept falling out.. to the point where I thought he needed a new one.. or he was spitting it out trying to get a breather. The whole fight I kept telling my brother if Moorer ever turned Cooper into the ropes that would be it.. because Cooper earlier in the fight seemed to be unable to fight going backwards at all.

Derrick Jefferson vs Sugar Mo Harris

    Gatti vs Ruelas

    Tyson vs Botha

Hearns vs Barkley 1 - Oh my god!!!! Never having seen it before.. I really thought Hearns was doing great working the left jab and body shot afterwards.. I have no idea it would be that round.. Hearns was winning it so solidly.. the more recent Mike Jones vs Randell Baily is very similar to this (although less action packed.. but a more bloody ending)

Lewis vs Briggs - I highly enjoyed this fight; with Lewis being hurt early only to come back around.. Very enjoyable; especially to watch two HW's go at it like that.

Edwin Rosario vs Jose Luis Ramirez II

George Foreman-Ron Lyle - I've seen this one a ton.. It isn't very often you see Big George down on the ground.. Even though I knew George was going to win.. I was still surprised when it happened
    Kendall Holt-Ricardo Torres

Victor Ortiz-Marcos Maidana - Holy Crap, these two guys beat the crap outta each other... This was a case of Maidana wanting it WAY more then Victor did

Ike Padilla vs. Leland Hardy - This fight was especially fun for me to watch not knowing who would win.. Very back and forth.. and with Hardy speaking Chinese at the end it capped off an awesome fight with a crazy moment.

    Patterson vs Johansson II

    Dempsey vs Firpo

Dempsey vs Willard - I've seen this fight a ton.. I use it as an example when I explain to people why they make the fighter scoring the KD go to a neutral corner, For how much credit Dempsey gets for this.. Willard is a G; Even if he lost.. holy crap to keep getting back up... NO ONE can say he didn't give it everything that day.

    SRR vs Graziano

    SRR vs Fullmer II

    Dempsey vs Carpentier

    Hearns v Roldan

    Gomez v Arthur

    Zarate v Zamora

Holt v Torres - HOLY **** that was insane... I mean.. 1 round... I didn't really think that Holt was hurt... but for him to go down twice I was surprised.. but then holy ****.. the way it ended....

    McClellan v Jackson 1

    Katsidis V Earl

    Lee v LoCicero

    Liles v Littles 2

    Mancini v Frias

    McCallum v Jackson

    Zale-Graziano III

    Zarate vs Zamora

Foreman-Frazier - I like Frazier.. I like Foreman.. this fight even though short.. is awesome in so many aspects.. great fight, but also showing what happens if a Champion doesn't train like a Champion; He made it a little longer in the Rematch

    Frazier-Quarry II

    Louis-Schmeling II.

Yeah I knew that one would be said; I almost said it myself as an example.. but I didn't want to take anyone's thunder away. Trust me, we've seen that one a good few times. It is the fight I show people when they don't really watch boxing; but wouldn't mind watching a fight.. it is a good one to get people hooked.

    Ike Padilla vs. Leland Hardy

    'Two' Heavyweight Prospects.

    An 'Epic Battle'.

Maybe the 'best' 3 Round Fight you will ever see.

Patterson vs Johansson II (Ring Magazine FOTY 1960, brutal KO ending IIRC)
    Dempsey vs Firpo
Dempsey vs Willard (one sided pummeling but iconic)
    SRR vs Graziano
    SRR vs Fullmer II
    Dempsey vs Carpentier

A couple of these I picked for the names & significance, they are not wars like Hagler vs Hearns.

I just watched this; based on your recommendation; it was pretty awesome while it lasted!

*Edit* HAHA What the hell was up with Hardy speaking Chinese after the fight? That was almost as insane as Canelo speaking spanish; I was like.. wtf?

    Lartize,,,

Good pick up on Leland Hardy.

He was fluent in several Chinese dialects.

So much so, that Muhammad Ali took Leland with him when he visited China.

Leland Hardy was his Chinense language interpreter.

An education, the best thing you could ever have.....:thumbsup
