A competitive battle need not be excluded if one of the combatants still exhibited consumate skill. That's why I would consider Duran vs Leonard 1.

    80's Leonard vs Hearns 1
    90's Toney vs McCallum 1
    00's Hopkins vs Trinidad

I don't remember any part of that fight besides Mayweather's fouling, holding Gatti's head, punching on the break, and sucker punching when Gatti complained to the ref. It was really disgusting, and I kept thinking, "He's so much better at fighting, why is he being such a **** and cheating? It's completely unnecessary."

To be fair, under modern rules, Hearns thoroughly outboxed and beat Leonard (much like Conn thoroughly outboxed and beat Louis).

    Under modern ruling.
