In another thread people were saying that SRR's most dominant stretch wasn't captured on film.

But I'm guessing there is something from his earlier days, maybe newsreel footage or a few highlights.

What fights that have any video at all show him at his most dominant? His Ali vs Williams, if you will.

Difficult to say with the state of film we have. Robinsons age and the depth of the competition he was facing make it hard to create a comparison to Ali v Williams 67which really was as one sided as you’d expect from a decent contender who was shot and in with a young champ.

At his best we do have quite a bit of 147lbs film but I haven’t really watched a lot of it to be honest and not recently either so I can’t weigh in so there might be an obvious answer.

I was always impressed with “The Valentine’s Day massacre” fight the little adjustments leading up to the stoppage where cool to watch unfold. LaMotta was very rugged and hung tough though so we got to see a lot of high level boxing on display (by both guys to be fair) I’m not sure where I am going with this but yeah.
