Pavlik is not a ONE punch KO artist. Because he is so long & lanky & has excellent technique on his punches with tremendous follow-through is the reason that he gets his opponent hurt 90% of the time. The guy has bigtime leverage & knows how to use it. His high workrate also make for very good odds that he will eventually land. But his high KO percentage comes from his FINISHING ability, most definitely. Thats why I think he's maybe the best finisher in the game today. Who else out there can top what he's been doing over the years of their career as being a notable finisher?
klitschkos and then pavlik. to me a great finisher is somone who can go along in a fight against someone who still has their wits about them and is not totally ****ed, then BOOM! out of nowhere, the fight is over. also the fighters i mention do it often so it's not a once off kinda thing. if they smell blood or see the perfect opening, it's usually over.
****! i forgot about pacciaqio! margo is more a steam roller to me, rather than a finisher in the artistic sense. you know margo's opponents are going to crumble. it might be quick or slow but you see it before it ends so to me i dont consider him a "finisher" in that sense. still awesome to watch but to me a finisher does it with a little flair and quite suddenly.
Your Pacquiao/Diaz painting is underway! I'd almost like to show it to you now in the early stages, but they say thats bad luck. Hopefully it will be done within a week. I'll post it on the forum for all to see & comment on. Don't get too excited!:good
Wladimor K. is not a very good finisher IMO...I think Pavlik is the best, most brutal finisher in the game right now followed by Cotto and Pacquiao.
