That's not a contradiction at all. Compared to Pacquiao's prime, he is shot today. However, today, which is many years away from his prime, he is still a top level fighter who can dominate top level fighter's.

Pacquiao is clearly over the hill, but he hasn't quite reached the bottom on the other side.

He'll, Pacquiao could have met him below 140 easy. He barely even weights in on fight night at 147 let alone at the weight-in.

Lose-a-chenko simply wanted nothing to do with him whatsoever.

Lose-a-chenko was afraid to face a shot old fighter.

Loma is a natural 126. Lopez looks like he can easily fight at 147.

To think, some goons were calling him boxing GOAT and better than floyd and manny lol

His best win is a 50 year old manlet

Loma is a talented fighter, but I never believed he deserved the hype

He has fought good fighters, but overall matched very well

Imagine manny in his prime vs Loma? He would be obliterated

I think I made a recent post saying not only are floyd and manny better, but so was jmm

Overrated meaning what? How would you rate his footwork then.

This loss had little to do with footwork. Lol... stupid thread. Youre clearly drunk on your hate and just throwing out stupid things to say in an attempt to gloat.

How many guys did Floyd neutralise who were bigger punchers and were active then?

His footwork is still the best. He just didn't have the physicality to impose himself on Lopez.

Lopez had the longer reach so he had to get inside, but when he was inside he didn't want to stay there because Lopez hits too hard. Just one of those things. Bad style matchup.

I think if anything, it was bad strategy giving the first 5 rounds away by literally throwing no punches. If he takes more risks in the 2nd fight, he should win easily.

Hey Xplosive, you're gonna offend someone again!

It is the fanboys fault for comparing with Loma absolute all time legends. They are the cause of such visceral reactions. Loma isn't near comparison and doesn't deserve it. Aesthetics are a funny thing in Boxing, they can make even a solid observer a fan boy. What matters is effectiveness and who you beat.

After tonight, Loma is a solid 'very good' fighter, until he proves otherwise.

It's the old Jersey Joe Walcott conundrum.

That is actually a very apt comparison. Mr Sung Kil Moon could be the antithesis

I tend to think the antithesis would be someone like Donald Curry. His footwork was unbelievable (definitely better than Walcott's IMO) but it looked extremely bland.

Exactly this. That result wasn’t because of his footwork, it was because of a smart plan by Lopez and a reluctance to exchange from Loma
