    Ray Famechon.

He was a very good boxer who dominated at European level for a long time. He was unfortunate in that the brilliant Willie Pep held the Featherweight title during this era and defeated him in his sole world title shot.

He was one of five boxing brothers and the true talent in the family until his nephew Johnny Famechon came along and won the world title in 1969. Johnny was born in France as well but emigrated to Australia as a 5 year old and fought as an Australian boxer under the tutelage of the great Aussie boxer and trainer Ambrose Palmer.

    A very talented family.

Was Angelmann go down in history as an official/real world boxing champion by the way?
