I wouldn't put him on top, but when Norton fought Larry and Ali, he did an excellent job of holding an open hand and catching many of Ali and Larry's best jabs, thus rendering them useless.
His parrying, foot work, and switch hitting in the Holmes fight were just plain amazing. That particular version of Witherspoon is top 25 h2h. He was an amazing boxer in his prime.
great post, agreed. I would love to score that fight again sometime. I wish Larry rematched him. IMO Witherspoon would have won.

Believe it or not JFrazier was excellent at blocking and parrying. Was he the best? Doubtful, but when considering the aggressive style he fought, and usually at a height disadvantage, that he was able to parry, slip, and block as well as he did, as well as counter truly is a testimony to how great he was.
If its just heavyweights johnson by far... I thought it said all fighters ever... Even then maybe Johnson
