Tyson is top of my book, the way he slips punches to get inside is awesome. Never stops bobbing and weaving, leaves you a bit dizzy.
In theory Tyson had the best, he looked good training with Rooney, but in actual fights Frazier was probably a bit more effective
Whitaker. I can't say Locche, I've seen the clips but I don't know enough about him to pick him from an educated viewpoint. Out of everyone I know with phenomenal head movement, I'd say Pernell.
You should watch the lower weight classes more that is where boxing is. See Jose Napoles, Henry Armstrong, James Toney and Emile Griffith - those guys were truly elusive and absolutely clever.
Prime Wilfred Benitez. El Radar didn’t move his head to give his foe a hard target to find … he moved it as the opponent threw and just kind of glided out of the way. Ray Leonard threw I think 23 right hands in the first round of their first. He landed zero (and Ray’s not exactly slow of hand). Ray came back to the corner and Dundee told him to forget the right hand, only throw it to the body. Ray held his hands out a foot or so in front of him and said ‘But he’s RIGHT THERE!’ Didn’t matter.
