why put Jones in there without Toney? or is it just out of those listed? or maybe you just forgot? Chris Byrd?
Tyson. Imo harder to hit cleanly in his prime than Ali was. Different kind of head movement too. Tommy Morrison deserves an honorable mention. I think Frazier had incredibe stamina, basically bobbing and weaving contantly. Out of the choices listed Ive seen the least tape of Dempsey and Patterson, so if someone wants to school me on them br my guest.
And Peters*2 and Rahman and even Lebedev when Toney was beyond shot 2 **** . It was a supermiddleweight covered with flab surviving with respect against bigger and younger opponents . D Toney that fought Lebedev was more shot than d Jones that fought Lebedev but still there's a huge difference between d 2 endings . Toney's headmovement was and is 1 of his best assets .
you can't be serious. RJ's win over the ATG Quiet Man RRrruuiiz is enough to put him next to Tyson, Ali, Patterson, Frazier but Toney's very decent run at CW and HW(considering he was a middleweight and considering he also beat Ruiz) is crap. Also considering the fact that his headmovement, which is what this whole thread is based on, is incredible, even at HW.
The deal with head movement is that it isn't about how actively your head is moving but how out of synch and unpredictable its movements are. It's about disrupting the timing of your opponent while you find an opening. It also is NOT about expending all your energy on moving your ****ing head at the expense of moving your fists. These two reasons are why PRIME Frazier was better than Tyson.
Yeah frazier did better in the second Foreman fight. Peak for peak you think Fraziers head movement could win him a UD or late stoppage against Foreman?
Joe Frazier. His movement was non stop. Even after he got tagged he kept it up and it got even better as the fight went deeper. Tyson on the other hand didnt keep up his headmovement after he got peppered. It diminished greatly.
