I wonder what people think about his chances in the 2000-2005 period when the belt kept going round constantly and before Wlad had the division on complete lockdown.

He would have had a chance with any heavies with a reach under 75 inches, he simply doesn`t have the reach to beat a modern heavy, the further back you go the more his chances increase, a long heavyweigt jab would be poisin to him, he has the same reach as Hagler had, one inch more than Crawford.

Depends massively on the HW. I'd defo back Briedis against Pulev but then again Pulev is old and washed.

I could see Briedis giving Ajagba problems too.

He CAN beat anyone because he has one punch knockout power, but the best I’d pick him against would probably be a Sanders, Ruddock, maybe even a Mercer.

Plus Pulev only had 14 KO`s in 32 wins so the heavyweigt power advantage wouldn`t be a factor in this clash.

I don`t think he could stop Mercer if Morrison couldn`t.

He definitely wouldn’t, but I do feel he could out point him, but wouldn’t bet either way on that one.

Who’s the best fighter that he’s KOed with one punch?

Power is power, someone who was featherfisted would’ve gone the distance with Charr.
It’s not about the quality of Charr, the lack of quality means guys should be able to land more clean punches, the difference with better guys is that it’s harder to land clean punches, fighters being at a lower level doesn’t mean they have a worse chin, Charr wasn’t even glass jawed, Briedis knocking him out cold showed he had one punch knockout power at heavyweight.

Do you think he would have beaten Primo Carnera?

Because no fighter ever overcame a reach disadvantage.

    Briedis' reach is listed at 75". Chisora's is 74". Ruiz's is 74". Parker's is 76". Mike Tyson's was 71'. There isn't a problem, here.

Briedis was a high-quality boxer-puncher. I would pick him to beat a lot of guys at heavy, but he chose to go to cruiser, primarily because he couldn't get fights at heavy, so it's all speculation.

lol! It`s difficult and Breidis is nowhere near as good as Tyson. Parker has a safety first style and a poor KO rate, Ruiz has proven his chin at heavyweight, Chisora has a lot of bulk meaning he`s stronger than Breidis, but I did say he would have a chance against any heavyweight with a 75 inch reach or less so he`d do well against the fighters you mention but probably lose to the same fighters they lost to except Tyson who would blast him out pretty easily.

I would have to favor Carnera, but of course I rate Carnera higher than most.
