Id give it to Gomez. Mason fought very few guys on a winning streak and all his "name" victories were coming off losses. Gomez conversely beat Sam, McCall and Vyrchys who were all on a tear and with momentum when he faced them.

Gomez it is, Cuba go through to join England, Nigeria, Ireland, Canada, and Australia.
Wales v Argentina rests on Peralta v Petersen, I'm still leaning on Gregoria but open to offers. Same with Weinert v Knoetzee to decide Austria and South Africa, I'm on Weinert's side at the moment. If no strong arguments we'll then move on to the quarter finals.

Could be a whitewash for Canada but we'll give Cuba Valdez. Canada have Walls, Delaney and Cleroux in reserve, Ruddock and Berbick we gave to Jamacia and Lennox Lewis got left in no-mans land!

Matt, I think your Cuba-Canada picks are solid, but I would have gone Cooper and Wood**** in the England-austria. Just sayin'!

I feel fairly comfortable with Root over Wood**** on resumee but shaky on Cooper v Weinert, both just miss out on my top 100 all-time. Would like another opinion before I consign my neighbours to the bin.

No mention of David Haye who`s more English than Canadian Lennox.
