For me it's Ruiz vs Ortiz. Fantastic fight. Non stop action. Huge shots, no one holding back. Lots of skill and carnage.
Joshua-Usyk II was the fight I enjoyed the most. Parker-Joyce and Ortiz-Ruiz were also quite entertaining. Hrgovic-Zhang I did not enjoy, because the referee was favoring Zhang (counting a push/slip as a knockdown, and then later not counting a knockdown by Hrgovic). The commentary was misleading, very biased in favor of Zhang, and ignoring Hrgovic's many punches.
Not close to true. Zhang goes for a right hook to the temple, causing a KD. That's a legal punch and legal KD by boxing rules: This content is protected If you can post a time stamp of Hrgovic hitting Zhang and causing a KD, please, be my guest.
Really ? That's how you would describe Ruiz vs Ortiz ? Non stop action ? That criteria is for fights like Bowe vs Holyfield, Ali vs Frazier, certainly not Ruiz vs Ortiz. Which was mostly a drab encounter outside of a few brief moments. For the most part it was a lazy Ruiz with 0 workrate/output, getting outboxed by an old fossil in Luis Ortiz. As for the thread I haven't watched alot of Heavyweight fights, but Zhang vs Hrgovic had me on the edge of my seat.
Joshua-Usyk 2 I'd say for the reason it exposed how pathetic Joshua is, but also because it was good. Not really impressed by Parker And Joyce - Parker is degrading as a fighter while having a good potential, Joyce is still the same slow straight forward jumping as a happy little horse. Not that it was a bad fight, just not the best of the year. I enjoyed more watching how Fury was toying with Whyte, even though it was a less better fight because it was cat vs. mouse.
Joyce crushed Parker for most of the fight, which was an indication of how much Parker had regressed, but it was a solid fight, Usyk vs Joshua 2 was a tactical fight, I expected more risk-taking from Joshua but he didn't dare to be too offensive, Hrgovic against Zhang was the best fight in 2022 because both had balls and beat each other until the very end even though Zhang threw less punches they were still harder punches than Hrgovic's, Ruiz vs. Ortiz was a good fight but you could see that Ortiz was old and without footwork...
Parker v Joyce. Better than watching the actual fight was watching the look on the face of the fat gypsy king as his mate was knocked about from rope to rope, clearly thinking I really don't want any of that!!!!
Ruiz vs Ortiz was so bad, PBC wouldn't even put a proper highlights package on YouTube Joyce vs Parker for me
How was Ruiz vs Ortiz bad? It was non-stop action. It was Wilder/fury 3-esque but not completely one sided after 4 rounds
