There's a few I've enjoyed, but your right in that nothing really stands out as an epic. Rogan-Skelton was a good brawl, but a scrappy, domestic level one. Likewise for Fury-Chisora. Haye-Barrett was exciting but one sided. I found Haye-Wlad enjoyable just cos of the tension but it's not anyway near the level of lennox and vit. Tua-Barrett 1 deserves a mention as well.
Probably Briggs vs Liakhovich (sp!). I'd really love to see someone really go out there and try and stick one on a Klitschko, instead of just being hit all night to a late stoppage or wide decision defeat. If you get banjoed so what....
Yeah Brewster Can't think of any others.... we don't get good fights between contenders anymore, because they aren't fighting each other. Just content to fight bus drivers until the Klits retire :-(
I really enjoyed Chisora - Helenius until they read out the cards (even more so as I told you all mofos how it would go down :yep )
Liakhovich-Brewster and Byrd-Golota were both more entertaining than Lewis-Vitali. They weren't as significant, but they were better fights IMO.
Its hard when thinking of a top level fight, we cant really count domestic matchups, really only title fights or top contenders fights. Its a pity I cant think of many..as someone has said Lykovich-Briggs, Williams - Klitshcko? Er hmmmm Toney-Peter Man thats bad lol. To be fair i think there are good heavyweights only the 1970s and 1990s have we had better. Problem is not all fight each other..
Wlad-Peter I and Vitali-Sanders have been the best Klitschko fights since then. I vaguely recalled that there was one involving Liakhovich; that was Liakhovich-Brewster, as others have pointed out. Maskaev-Rahman II was decent. The best domestic fight has been Harrison-Williams II. Not a terribly impressive list, it has to be said.
