JDS has outstanding TD defence. In the 2nd round, Carwin folded like a cheap deckchair to Brock's telegraphed shot. Maybe when both guys are fresh, Carwin's bulk makes him a harder takedown (I don't think so, but I'm playing devil's advocate), but his cardio is so deplorable that this matters not, because all someone has to do is get him to the 2nd or 3rd then topple his exhausted ass.
He also beat Kharitonov, so he would be 1-2 in big HW fights. His second fight with Belfort was also at heavyweight, so that changes it to 2-2. He was also beating Crop Cop, but there was just a touch too much groin work. 2-2-1. you could also say that Brett Rogers was a "big" heavyweight fight, but I don't believe that is so.
Exhibit A - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DtsL1eoajA[/ame] Im pretty sure Heath Herring would disagree. And so too would Randy, exhibit B - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0z5uiodwXU&feature=related[/ame] Im not saying Brock has the best stand up in the world, but you did say he couldnt knock down 'anyone'. And yes I know Randy is old/outweighed ect and Herring is shot, so I'll save you the effort of typing an excuse. Brock has more of a punchers chance of doing this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gJraPajo5Y[/ame] Or even this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZa6Fdfu8oY[/ame] Especially if you consider that Fujita and Kharitonov have a grand total of 12 knock outs between them. And one more point Id like to add in a combined total of 44 matches, Sergi and Fujita only have 2 more knock outs combined than Shane Carwin who has 10. So critise Brocks stand up all you want, but please adress these points. And for the record, I vote for Fedor in the pole
Had to vote for Brock, while he doesn't have the record yet to really stack up against Fedor, I think he beats Fedor inside a cage.
