    Thoughts?

There are not many but here are a few I know are at least decent:

Roman Greenberg- "fastest hands since Ali"-but no power

Michael Marrone- done very little so far but a lot of 'buzz'

    Oleg Platov-very average IMO

Alexander Dimitrenko-if you don't know him go away

    Francesco Pianeta

JD Chapman- not well known but I personally think he has a lot going for him (the boy is also 6'7) he gets my vote

The best may be Denis Boytsov, who recently turned 22. We'll know more about him after Apr 26 when he fights tough veteran Robert Hawkins, who went the distance a few years ago in fights with with Tua and Peter, and defeated Dominick Guinn and Terry Smith in the second half of 2007.

The last great young heavy prospect I bet the farm on was Dominick Guinn. Shows what the hell I know.

    Denis Boytsov

He's facing Robert Hawkins in May, which is a nice step up in comparison to the guys he's been facing. Hawkins has gone the distance against Peter and Tua, but was knocked out by Virchis. He's also coming off of a win against Guinn, so if Boytsov is able to stop him, he will have made an impressive statement.

Marrone, Greenberg, Platov, and Pianeta aren't worth mentioning. The best out of the bunch is Platov by far, but he's a B- level fighter at best. I would be surprised if any of these other prospects turned out to be anything more than C level journeymen. JD Chapman is a knockout artist hypejob from the south.. there's a reason he's so protected.

Dimitrenko has some skills and is dedicated, but he is a KO waiting to happen. He has a weak chin and he can't handle any live pressure fighters. He also has weak power and his stamina isn't good.

Dennis Boytsov is a real prospect and he finally seems to be stepping up, but he's not worth talking about right now. His talent is clearly a few levels above fighters like Marrone and Greenberg though.

6'5 and 200lb, he reminds me young Lennox Lewis

I saw Boytsov some time ago - I wasn't really impressed with someone hailed as the new Tyson. He had physical ability - but that was pretty much it from what I saw.

You seem to have a good grasp of Russian boxers - how good is Rudolf Abramyan? If you know him.

Boytsov is probably the best, but my personal favorites (under 25) are 22 years old Mike Perez and 24 years old Evans Quinn.

A victory over Hawkins will put him on everybody's radar once again.

And lets be honest apart from the very young and capable Czech heavy weight talent Pala Boytsov hasnt faced any recognisable or known name.
Pala made the water hot for Boytsov in their encounter. A pity that the fight was stopped due to a cut!
The Hawkins fight will tell us whether Boytsov is for real or not. A stoppage would be extremely impressive. Neither David Tua nor Sam Peter could stop the durable American journeyman. Boytsov would make a telling statement by doing so.

You certainly werent the only one. I didnt buy into all the way like A LOT of people did but I was close to.

Greenberg is very average, he is a ko waiting to happen. I like what Ive seen of Boystov and Platov but need to see more against better opposition because any semi decent fighter could beat most the guys they have. I just got to say I like the way they have been doing it.

Dimitrenko is good enough to get a title shot, and win one if he gets the right match up. IMO, Dimitrenko is better than Valuev.

Boystov needs another year of seasoning
