By prospect I mean someone who doesn't hold a trinket, someone who hasn't cracked the top-10 in either The Ring or Transnational's rankings, someone who hasn't fought a trinket-holder or top-10 guy recently, and obviously, someone who is ascending through the ranks. Sergey Kuzmin and Jarrell Miller are examples.
Kuzmin looks pretty average to me. Sorry if that's a negative for the thread, just saying. Looks tough and can make for some good fights at the very least I bet.
I checked out Pletchko earlier. He has good pop, fights with intensity, and has solid technical underpinnings, but he opened himself up quite a bit. If he can get his defense under control he might go somewhere.
It's all a matter of opinion. For me he has some craft, but he certainly isn't going to run the division.
1 Oleksandr Usyk 2 Sergey Kuzmin 3 Oleksandr Teslenko 4 Rostislav Plechko 5 Andrey Afonin 6 Hughie Fury 7 Tom Schwarz 8 Adrian Granat 9 Nathan Gorman 10 Evgeny Romanov
Interesting list, champagne! I am not sold on Schwarz though.I for one think that his compatriot Wallisch has far more potential that Schwarz. However,Wallisch seems to lack both motivation and determination.Boxing is a mental game, and his mind isnt focused on boxing but on something else. What a pity! He has all the tools to make some noise at heavy, far more than his compatriot Schwarz IMO.Waste of talent he is.Like Juan Carlos Gomez was!
Gorman is a Hatton product, no? The guy has quick hands, but I haven't seen a bunch of his stuff. Never heard of Afonin or Romanov. I'll have a peak.
I completely agree. Wallisch is a real waste of talent. Size two handed power, to me he had the ability to be a top 10 heavy and he's completely wasted it
1.Hughie Fury.Great addition to heavyweight division, can outbox majority of heavyweights in my view.Lucas Browne struggled with Rudenko but Hughie just outboxed him via wide decision.I would favour him against Joshua due to his superior boxing ability. 2.Timur Musafarov, he is named Timur Stark now.Beat Helenius unofficially.Beat Teper unofficially.Beat Boytsov unofficially.Still, have only 10 fights but he will fight for the EU title next. 3.Andriy Rudenko or his known also by his real name Dmitro Rudenko..He beat Lucas Browne unofficially. 4.Bogdan Dinu.If the fight with Granat happens he will beat Granat. 5.Gerald Washington.Holds good punch, decent hand speed but can be outboxed easily. 6.Sergey Kuzmin.European championship winner and was 2 at the follow-up. 7.Oscar Rivas.Beat Andy Ruiz Jr at least two times in amateurs by the wide score.packs a punch, have fast hands.Recovers from shoulder injury right now. Will be back in first part of 2017. 8.Rostislav Plecko.Beat Buule by first round ko, Kuzmin beat this guy by ud in his debut. You can read more about him in my cruiserweight and heavyweight prospects thread. 9.Junior Fa.Have 2 wins and 2 loses against parker in amateurs, he erased Parker chances for competing at Olympics by defeating him in the 3 round of qualifying event. 10.Agit Kabayel.Looks promising, will fight for the vacant EBU title next.Is improving fast.Next up Marius Wach for the vacant EBU heavyweight title.
Oleksandr Usyk/Andriy Rudenko in amateurs, Usyk won this fight by 14/6 score: This content is protected
