Lewis Jab, do you realy think Chuck Wepner knocked Ali down? Have you watched the so-called KD?

Also, Lewis-McCall stoppage was like Klitschko - Sanders being stopped after the 1st knockdown. Lewis rose on unsteady legs and the fight was waived off.

Tucker wasn't that past it, he was still fighting at a high caliber level and Lewis was the first to knock him down.

Mavrovic was a contender that everybody was ducking, very good fighter. Lewis stepped up to the plate like he always did and Mavrovic showed what a great fighter he was by giving Lewis one of his toughest fights. It's a shame he got injured and could have the career he should've. In my opinion Mavrovic is in Ibeabuchi territory as a fighter that showed great promise and had their career was cut short.

Grant was all the rage before Lewis fought him, he was considered the best American prospect since Riddick Bowe. After Lewis destroyed him he was never the same fighter again.

That's BS Lewis was fine just didn't have his legs fully under him. I've seen much worse being let to continue. It was a premature stoppage by a shady ref with ties to Don King. He set the record straight avenged that loss in dominant fashion. You should know better, Big American.

Tucker was drug-addicted and coming off 3 years retirement.

Macrovic was the second Vaughn Bean. I'm not saying Mavrovic and Bean were bad fighters (because they weren't), but they didn't beat anyone of note.

Mavrovic best wins were Julius Francis and Marion Wilson. Bean's best wins were Maurice Harris and Marion Wilson. Both 27-0.

Grant was exposed by Golota, who almost KO'd him in 1. Yes, the same Golota that was destroyed by Lennox. Since then, it was obvious that Grant has zero chances against Lewis.

That's not true. After his loss to Tyson he reeled off 14 straight wins and didn't take this imaginary 3 year break you are talking before he fought Lewis.

    Tim Witherspoon
    James Douglas
    James Smith
    Jameel McCline

Jesse Fegusson possibly deserves a mention too depends on whether he beat Douglas, or just got more grace of the judges.

Not: Lewis - Tyson, Holyfield, Tucker, Weaver and probably Ruddock were not alive when he beat them. Also he did not beat a dead Holyfield in their rematch

Ali avenged his loss against Norton and Frazier.

Did you really want him back in with Holmes and Berbick? The Spinks fights tell you that he probably should have been retired. He probably should have retired after the Thrilla but, since he is a fighter to the end he fought the Shavers, and the Nortons, and the Spinks, and the Holmes, and Berbicks. Muhammad Ali is one of the truest warriors that ever put on gloves.

BTW, Lewis was never suspended from boxing in his prime during the Civil rights era either for 3 precious years. Came back and re-cleaned out the division after taking a beating from an all-time great.

Man! Where are fighters like that at now today!

Lots of fans, scribes, and officials agree and disagree with you on all those Foreman including the ap and upi votes in each. It just means they were all that close and will be forever debated by guys like you and me.

Seeing him get blown out by Foreman while Norton was in his prime makes it hard to disagree with you but then so was a little past it Frazier. If you saw the Norton-Holmes or Young-Norton bouts why would you be posting something like this anyways. Neither of them would have agreed with you.

Norton lost the Holmes bout officially, just as he did the two rematches with Ali. The Young fight I already commented on. Why should he be moved up in all-time ratings for the fights he had lost, even if they were close? A single victory over an ATG, with circumstances like an injury of his opponent, shouldn't make one an ATG.
