I vote Holmes as the best prime-for-prime. A prime Holmes probably beats Tyson in a similar fashion to the way Lennox did it later, and has a better jab to negate Lewis' size and strength in that match.

Like i said there is no right or wrong...............i mean people could choose the big bangers as they were would be more fearsome BUT its also about who you rather face to win a title or who you think you would have the better chance with if you were an up coming fighter.

For me personally.........i always regard the ranking all time heavies as very interesting BUT highly subjective. When based on achievements or head to head. Head to head would depend on styles.........so imagining yourself as a heavy of average build, height and skills going in the ring with one of the above mentioned is always interesting to see who picks what. I think people should add more info.

Like i know if Lennox Lewis underestimates me.......and dosent prepare properly i could catch him clean he would go down......and his recovery abilty is very average, but i aslo know that no boxer has ever dominated him nor outboxed him.....and every big or key fight he has had....he comes through so that why i ranked Lewis as the number 1.

Tyson was second becuase whilst he didnt deal well with adversity.....his skills, power, speed, and head movement would crush you 99 per cent of the time. If you do catch him on an off day....they your still going to have muster up an incredible superman like performance i.e buster and evander.

    anyways good feedback guys!

You rate Bowe higher than Wladimir based on accomplishments or head to head or both?

BTW, I agree that Byrd should be above Vitali since he defended his title so many times & he does have that injury TKO victory.

The difference is Lewis has much more power in his punches than Holmes. Holmes had a better jab but I don't think that wouyld be enough to hold off a prime Tyson.

What was Bowe's "prime" then? 28 days or so?

You simply cannot rate Wlad over Bowe.
Bowe's wins over Holyfield are more than Wlad's achievements so far.
Wlad's achievements are equal or slightly better than Bowe's other wins.

Granted, Bowe's wins over Holyfield are his high point but his reign was too short, he fragmented the belts to avoid Lewis & he was owned twice by Golota.

I believe history will remember Wladimir's achievements & the fact he never ducked anyone as greater than Bowe's 2 wins over Holyfield. He has a great KO percentage to boot.
