Actually, I can think of two or three fights I would've shoved aside in favour of that...it wasn't the most skillful but year, both guys tried hard and that was a decent scrap. This is the best poll since the one I put up a couple years back about "Which was the best Holyfield-Ruiz fight?" It's like asking which is the least irritating form of cancer.
I didn't realize the HW division had so many garbage fights. WOW! HW will always be my favorite division, but it spiraled in 2007. Here's to hoping for a better 2008. I voted for Peter-McCline. It was a great story. The older veteran never-was almost puts the young, hungry up and comer down three times only for the rookie to mount the come back and score a UD. Good stuff.
Looks like Peter-McCline has the nod here. It was a wild start, shame (like vs Byrd) McCline let a great start slip again.
I voted Valuev-Chagaev not that it was so good but I enjoyed greatly the masterful boxing performance of Chag.
It certainly paints a sad picture for the heavyweight division. None of those fights interested me this year.
