Leonard didn't beat Hagler. You only THOUGHT he did

When they see that Ray was outscored, and didnt outscore Hagler like they thought he did, this is the argument they use- "Ray had better ring generalship" which is not something that can be quantified and strictly opinion and bias

and we have enough bias.

I wanted an objective way to settle this and when I did, Flash24 flew off the handle like a woman on her menstrual cycle

because they just cant swallow their pride and admit Leonard lost after 35 years of false claims

In fact, Flash24. said he wanted me to kill myself just for giving physical visual evidence to settle the matter

If someone believes that a fighter momentarily out on their feet (viz Ray Leonard) equates to their being “knocked out” then it’s no wonder that same person has no clue as to how to score a fight.

By that standard, Foreman and Frazier must’ve knocked Ali out a few times - don’t you believe the refs or judges who clearly misinterpreted/ignored Ali’s knocked out status.

And Marv didn’t even have Ray out on his feet, let alone knocked down, let alone knocked out…..a repeated lie….so the baseless “point” trying to be made re Leonard’s sparring session..…well it’s more an indictment on Marv than Ray anyway because it’s what happens in the actual fight between said fighters that actually counts.

Every man and his dog could’ve done this, that and the other to Ray - BUT the glaring omission would still be that Marv himself didn’t manage to turn the trick - and LOST to Ray.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, some heavy duty Shutter Island treatment is required for some people to stop them replacing distasteful, objective realities with self placating, subjective delusions.

LOL You settled the argument for yourself and convinced yourself. Leonard was the clear winner. Hagler should be ashamed that he allowed a guy to come right out of retirement and beat him. If Hagler was shot, then what was Leonard at that stage?

 

Marvin Hagler lost to a guy that knew how to fight him who had not fought in three years. Marvin has himself to blame for the loss. He should have charged out of that corner like a bull in a china shop and jumped all over Leonard. Had he fought with the same intensity he did with Hearns, the outcome may have been different. I honestly think the two fighters that really unnerved him were Duran and Leonard. He was not himself for those fights.
Vito Antuofermo, an overachiever, and a bleeder (of the worst kind), with no punch, fought "the great" Hagler to a draw. Antuofermo was no LaMotta, Fullmer, or Robinson.

 

Although it is hard to accept, no need to argue this any longer. The issue has finally been settled

He is still one of the premier fighters of the decade, a two time champion, the 6th best welterweight, and a heck of commentator.

Leonard was a great contributor to boxing.
