George Foreman said that once, also. He said: "It's hard to get your feet into a punch when the guy's short. The uppercut's the best finish then."
My mother in law saw me watching Nikolai one night on television, he looked into the camera, it scared her so bad that she screamed. Later she told me his face took up the television screen, he looked mean and scary. Lol
After reading this thread I watched Valuev-Holyfield (and I think I saw the right hand cross to the body that fractured Valuev's rib that Nikolai spoke of.. typical Holyfield, he was probably saving it for just such an occasion.. later on in the fight). Man, that Holyfield would have been an even match for 47 yr old Foreman.
Honest. strange to see Valuev mention Holyfield. Evander was around forever and I sometimes forget he fought guys like Toney, Rahman, Valuev, Byrd, Sultan and Ruiz. I’ve only really watched the Toney fight, I’m gonna watch the Rahman one that seems like the most interesting match up.
While I give him plenty of credit for being willing to fight everyone, there's also the fact that he was so well rounded, with a style that matched up well against anyone, without any real weaknesses. That kind of makes it easy to be willing to fight anyone.
